If you ever told me that one day I'd draw Jim Davis winning a cartooning award from Car & Driver, I'd guess that the Mix had some involvement. His propensity for silly is a gift I can only hope to match after too much coffee and too little sleep, and it's fair to say that most of the memorable moments in my comics are Mix concoctions.
