I recall in a previous life as a delivery dispatcher that someone remarked to me the world would be a better place if everyone was introverted. Immediately the picture of Futurama's Neutral Planet (Season 2, Episode 6) popped into my head, where the Neutrals are about to die from an incoming out of control Planet Express Ship... Neutral Official: Your Neutralness, it's a beige alert. Neutral Leader: If I don't survive, tell my wife: Hello. I know that isn't exactly "introversion", but the point is that only one of anything is usually silly. It would also be horrible for any introvert to be thanked daily for being an introvert, so let's just call that hyperbole before you all point that out to me.
Panel One:
Ian with unseen companion at cafe; Ian's gesturing to the general area behind him with his thumb. Two men are talking to each other over coffee at a table in the background over Ian's other shoulder.
Ian: I should be thanked daily for being introverted. Can you imagine if there were only extroverts? It would be chaos.
Panel Two:
Ian leans forward and whispers, looking very serious.
Ian: You couldn't utter a word without being mobbed. Imagine daily asking a convention of golden retrievers, "Who's a good boy?"
Panel Three:
Ian is kneeling down in front of a large crowd of golden retrievers, all which have stopped and are looking directly at him.
Ian: ...
So this is how I die....
