I did begin to write letters to a couple of relatives recently, and I was struck by how odd it is that something hand written could carry a bit more weight (metaphorically and I suppose, literally) than the exact same words sent in an email, or text. The saying, "what's old is new again" really does sum this up. It naturally makes me wonder what else we'll revert to in order to gain what we've lost.
Personally - I can do without leeches and witchcraft, but I'm not really encouraged by how obtainable modern medicine is. I'm also not averse to wearing a top hat if it becomes fashionable again. My guess is the return of top hats will include USB ports to charge phones, or places to stash spare keys and stuff. I can't be the only person who's thought of this.
